Under the research guidance of Code 610.3, Embedded-Eng developed a virtual machine and generated baseline performance data for multiple configurations of the numerical model. This system will allow NASA greater control over the operating environment distributed to climatologists.
By moving to Virtual Machines, NASA can send out updates more reliably and obtain more reliable results in a faster time frame (as access to NASA computing systems can be reduced).
